About Chapter 22

My Background

After 21 successful years as a senior leader in Banking, I made a deeply intentional decision to step away from a career I was grateful for, but one that no longer aligned with my true sense of purpose. I had achieved success on the outside, yet I always knew my real calling was to support others in finding clarity, balance, confidence, and fulfilment. There is no greater privilege for me than holding space for someone as they experience insight, growth, and breakthrough—helping them reconnect with the answers that already exist within them. Alongside my coaching work, I am also a trainee counsellor, offering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space to be heard.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. After experiencing burnout in 2014, I witnessed firsthand the cost of a world that glorifies being constantly busy, always available, and endlessly striving. I lived through burnout, recovered, and ultimately grew stronger because of it. That experience ignited a deep commitment to raising awareness, helping others recognise the warning signs, and supporting them to reclaim their power, confidence, and sense of self.

As a senior female leader in corporate life, I experienced both success and struggle—confidence alongside self-doubt and imposter syndrome. As an introvert in an extrovert world, and a woman in what often felt like a man’s world, I learned how to have my voice heard without compromising who I am. I stopped trying to eradicate perceived weaknesses and instead learned to value empathy, vulnerability, and humility as strengths. Over time, I built resilience and discovered that many of the biggest barriers were internal—and could be overcome.

Midlife and menopause brought an unexpected and challenging chapter. What is often described as a time of empowerment and growth felt confusing, isolating, and overwhelming. Determined to make sense of my own experience, I immersed myself in understanding the science, biology, and psychology of menopause. I am not a doctor and do not offer medical treatment, but I am a Certified Menopause Coach with lived experience who truly understands this transition and supports women with compassion, clarity, and practical strategies.

I always knew that stepping out of corporate life and creating a new identity would be scary, but fear only shows up when you are standing on the edge of growth. This is me taking a sharp intake of breath, a big dose of courage, and the ultimate leap of faith. In the words of Elphaba in Wicked, “It is time to try defying gravity.” I gave 21 amazing years to corporate life—now it is time for Chapter 22, my lifelong vision and passion.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is grounded in compassion and authenticity. I am anchored by a strong set of personal values instilled in me by my incredible parents from a young age.

Professionally, I have stayed true to myself showing compassion and kindness to others. I believe in creating a safe place for those I work with, so that they can show up as who they are and become the best version of themselves.

During my career I have coached and mentored colleagues and leaders at all levels of the organisation with proven results. I have been able to apply my knowledge gained through my Masters Degree in Psychology with real business and lived experience. In 2018 I was voted Woman of the Year (Global) for my contribution towards Diversity and Inclusion whilst  delivering an outstanding track record of business success.

I believe in the power of psychological safety and creating a culture where people can thrive. I am hugely passionate about creating a world where there is equity and parity regardless of a persons characteristics.

I am a fierce advocate for mental health and will continue to fight for the rights of underrepresented communities. My twice yearly scholarship programmes represent my commitment to developing diverse talent.
